I do know that most employers are looking for experiance. I also have very little qualifications. any help would be much appriciated. x*x

  1. Start with a skeleton cv and fill in the bits as you think of them -  it will slowly build over a week or two as you get ideas.  Look at the sort of jobs you might like to apply for and see what they are asking for and how your experience with running a home and handling people helps you meet their requirements for experience.  Managing an unusually demanding child counts as good experience for dealing with difficult customers, for instance.

Also include any courses you have done since leaving school a it shows you are interested in bettering yourself.  If you have maths and english at GCSE mention these for sure.  In Wales they often ask for applicants who can speak welsh.

  2. Im afraid your right, they will look for experience, but perhaps you have done something outside of work.  Have you been involved in any activities, perhaps related to your kid, that could demonstrate certain qualities?  Have you got qualifications?  If you don't, perhaps you could do part time work at a not very good job to begin with and a part time course/ voluntary activity etc if you can make the time.  Together this could count as some experience and so after a while it might help to lead to something a bit better.  One other way to get valuable people skills for someone without qualifications is caring jobs, and with your experience as mum should be something natural to you.  Just that the pay normaly does not reflect the work involved.  Another way is temping, although famous for office it is available in different jobs.  Good luck, and remember, DO NOT be so negative to any potential employer!

  3. You have had a lot o experience!

as for what to pout on your cv it depends what kind of job you want. personally speaking as an ex nursery manager for kids with special needs i would have been very interested to hear from you.

list your qualities as  a mum you have so many and esp as a mum of a little one with ADHD and aspergers. eg

as a mum you have acquired the following talents and experiences

    multi tasking

    caring

    kind

    be able to prioritise

    loving

    creative

as a mum of  a child with special needs you must have

    patience

    tolerance

    perserverance

    be a fast learner

as well as many more. tell us what kind of job you ar elooking for and maybe we can add a few more things that fit the bill!

  4. Include a decent covering letter indicating your skills as a carer.for example time management, patience and tactfulness,tolerance.....also lay emphasis on the willingness to learn new strategies, procedures etc am pretty sure you can do well in these skills as you must have demonstrated them one way or the other as a carer.A decent covering letter will take you on the employment ladder,,u can carry on from there xxxxxxxxxx

  5. Whaddya mean you've never worked? You've been a full time carer. You've worked harder than most of us ever will.
