I don't write very often these days, but Icame up with this, only problem is I'm struggling with the last line everything sounds too forced! Can you help me please?

I put little drops of love for you, in my silver cup,

I left it out at twilight and bid you drink them up.

I filled my plate with starlight and poured moonbeams in my bowl,

I danced thrice round them naked and bid you take them whole.

I lay down close beside you and whispered you my heart,

I left my sorrow at your doorstep,

  1. When I was little I used to watch a show about kids at a summer camp that opened with them singing the camp's anthem, and the one bratty kid would rhyme "heart" with "it makes me wanna f**t"

    But seriously:

    -and never shall we part

    -until the day we part

    -joy I to you impart

    -and bid it to depart

-but it tore me apart (taking it a new direction; sorrows are memories, and that is who you are?)

    -my only need thou art

    -my only love thou art

-the air I breathe thou art

  2. I left my sorrow at your doorstep and never will I part.
