  2. sorry thats too hard.

  3. 1. When you raise a product to a power that is the same as raising each of the multipliers to that power and then multiplying them, so here you get:

^ stands for the power and * stands for multiplication

    - (2x^2*y)^4 = - (2^4 * (x^2)^4*y^4)

    2 to the fourth = 2*2*2*2=16

(x^2)^4 = x^(2*4)=x^8 (this is one of the laws of exponents)

    so finally, you get

    -(2x squared y) to the fourth = -16x^8 y^4

    2. The rule for raising a fraction to a power is the same as the one for product, just raise the numerator and the denominator of the fraction to the given power:

    (2y/5x)^3 = (2^3*y^3) / (5^3*x^3) = (8y^3)/(125x^3)

    3. Dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying by its reciprocal, i.e. multiply by a fraction of which the numerator and denominator have changed places. Now the product's numerator is the product of the numerators of the two fractions and its denominator is the product of their denumerators:

    5/8x / 7/16 = 5/(8x) * 16/7 =(5*16) / (8x*7)= 80 / 56x = 5/3x

    Hope this helps you :)
