my salmon pink bird eater is due a skin shed and when i looked in its tank i noticed lots of little tiny crickets babys running about and was wandering wether they could affect the spider during its skin molt, thanks

  1. If you can remove them.

    Tiny crickets may not be much of a problem but larger crickets definitely can ( I lost a red knee as I didnt remove a cricket which attacked the spider whilst it was vulnerable - it is not a mistake I will ever make again)

    For about 72 hours after a moult the fresh exoskeleton of your spider will be incredibly soft and is easily damaged. Also having a cricket in the environment during a shed can cause great stress to the spider and this can also be dangerous.

    Monitor the situation
