1.1 calculate the first quartile for these 10 measurements, and interpret your answere.

2.2. calculate the mean , median and mode

2.3. is the distribution of these measurements skewed? if so, in which direction? give reason for your answere?

First u have to arrange them in order.

0 0 0 0 2 2 2 5 5 15

n=10

1st quartile = 10/4 th value = (0+0)/2=0

Interpretation: 25% of the value lie on or below 0.

mean = total/n = 31/10 = 3.1

Median = (n+1)/2 th value= 5.5th value = (2+2)/2=2

mode = most occuring number = 0

If you try to plot the above values in  graph u will see that most of the values lie to the left of the graph. Therefore it is positively skewed.
