Yes he is.  One of his arms has been hurt and Atticus demonstrates to the audience at the trial that Tom Robinson could not have raped the girl (I can't remember her name) by throwing something at Tom to catch and of course is unable to because of his arm is crippled.  Sorry I couldn't be more specific.

lol, yes he is crippled. that's one of the most important parts of the the novel.
