Okay my friends, let's see who can figure this one out.

3 MEN GO INTO A MOTEL.

THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK SAID THE ROOM IS $30,

SO EACH MAN PAID $10 AND WENT TO THE ROOM.

A WHILE LATER THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK REALIZED

THE ROOM WAS ONLY $25, SO HE SENT THE BELLBOY

TO THE 3 GUYS' ROOM WITH $5.

ON THE WAY, THE BELLBOY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT

HOW TO SPLIT $5 EVENLY BETWEEN 3 MEN,

SO HE GAVE EACH MAN A $1 AND

KEPT THE OTHER $2 FOR HIMSELF.

THIS MEANT THAT THE 3 MEN EACH PAID $9 FOR THE ROOM,

WHICH IS A TOTAL OF $ 27,

ADD THE $2 THAT THE BELLBOY KEPT = $29.

WHERE IS THE OTHER DOLLAR?

  1. ROFL just had to be something with math didn't it!!! **Pulls hair out** If someone gets it post the answer please! i still want to have some hairl left today...But ya...

I think it still comes out...Just the 3 dudes got shorted some ...and the desk dude still has 25$

  2. LoL... My grandpa once told me this riddle and so far everyone is wrong (kinda).

It is an addition problem you just need to break it down better =)

    $30 transferred hands

$5 taken from the front desk = $25 dollars for the room

    3 men get $1 each = $28

    Bell boy keeps $2 = $30

No money is missing. Nice one Hiedi

  3. Each man only paid 9 dollars each. 3 times nine is 27 dollars minus 2 dollars for the bellboy leaves twenty five dollars for the room. the thirty dollars total isn`t relevant because they only paid 9 dollars each.

  4. The room is $25. The question is incorrect.

    It's 9 x 3 -2 = 25

  5. There is no missing money.  There is adding when there should be subtracting.

    $30(initial payment) - $3 (repaid to men) = $27

    $27 - $2 (Bellboy's take) = $25 (cost of room).

  6. the owner still had put in an extra dollar

  7. it was dropped on the floor and picked up by someone else

  8. Each man did end up paying $9, but you SUBTRACT the $2 the bellboy kept from the $27 and you'll get the $25 the owner kept.

There is no mystery to this one
