So here's what's up. I have a job as a cashier. i've been at it 3 weeks and get it really well. it's not too hard, but boring as heck just standing there all day. and it's usually long hours. anyway i just got another job which i start next week as a waitress. this waitress job was actually my FIRST choice and seems way better as well as way nicer ppl. anyway i also have some college orientation stuff i hafta do next week. my cashier job boss is being a jerk and not at all flexible with it. i told him when i started that i needed these days off and he's saying it's gonna be a problem. also in fall, like 2 weeks, when college starts i have a work study job lined up if i want it. SO should i dump the cashier job since he's so mean and not flexible and stick with the waitress job cause they're so much nicer and understanding of my school schedule. and then also take the work study job?! i need a job for sure. and i dont wanna hafta stress about getting the days off i need for family and school obligations?! i'm stressed and mad right now and idk what to tell my boss tomorrow cause i NEED some days/hours off next week for school and my other job and he has me 9-5 all week. im 18 btw. thanks!

    hope i helped

  2. Go ahead and quit if the schedule doesn't work with other things you need to do

  3. absolutely dump cashier job. what are you worried about? you don't have to put it on your resume or anything. yeah, do what's best for your school issues. this is bad but if i were you i just wouldn't bother showing up again, i would just call to let them know.

  4. i think you should quit the cashier job since your going into college anywa, and a waitress job you would proabably make way better money. and since their nicer than your boss right now and you need days off and he wont give them to you.. i would tell him you quit.
