Please help with water question?

Is there a correlation with the amount of oxygen and chloride in water? If so how does this affect fish? Thanks for any help.

  1. Cooler water can hold more air, therefore more oxygen. Chlorine dissolved in water to kill germs is not good for fish. It does not have an effect on oxygen dissolved in the water. Warmer water will have less oxygen dissolved.
