Please help with y=mx+b problem as well as well as graphing problem?

Write the equation in y=mx+b form:

8x+2y = 6

How do I do these two different graphing problems:

Sketch each line on a graph:

1) x = 3

2) y = -1

Algebra? Yikes! Always remember: You have to the "y" by itself.

Like this:   8x+2y=6

                -8x

                2y= -8x+6

               divide the 2 through the whole problem  

                y= -4x+3
