Please helpHow can I find the details abt an apartment community area crime rate etc before booking it online.

Question

Currently I'm in Houston ,TX. I'm moving to Jacksonville ,Florida on monday 28th july. I will be staying in that state for 3-5 months. I want to book an apartment there in Florida. I have no choice but to book the appartment without seeing it.I have to book it online from Texas.

I'm looking out for a very decent community for my family to stay. I'm preferably looking out for an appartment that has a few indians (not native Indians) in it because my parents have visited me and they don't know english. it would be nice if they can talk to a few Indians out there. Can someone tell me how I'm supposed to find the details about the apartment community (in sense , if there are Indians in that appartments and the crime rate in the area- safety)and the locality online? Can I call the apartment office and ask about these details? Is it ok to ask if there are Indians staying there? Please help

YOu must see the apartment in person.  Unless it's a super-luxury place.  Pay anyone in that town to go there and talk to you as they walk thru the complex if it's really true that you can't go.  A new real estate agent would do it for $100.

All the police websites list crime statistics by neighborhood.

Use your internet access to view newspapers for the area. They will have local news about crime, real estate values, rent rates, etc. Also, look up community statistics", this will show you area profiles that list income, ethnicity, population, average age and so forth...
