Please helpp !!!!!!!

Question

we have a new car (holden astra) i am trying to burn a cd for when I'm in the car but when i try to drag music from a file onto the blank cd from my computer it says "windows has encountered a problem and then it says retry or skip butt when i push retry it justs keeps doing the same thing . how can i stop this from happening ? the programe im using runs from windows media player

Without knowing which version of WMP you're using it's difficult to offer specific advice.  But according to the Microsoft tutorial for WMP10, the songs you want to burn have to be in your library. It doesn't indicate that burning by dragging and dropping from your desktop your My Music folder, etc will be successful.

Just as a reminder, make sure you burn your music to a CD-R disc and not a CD-RW (rewritable) because most car stereos won;t read a CD-RW.  And you might want to try a slower recording speed (8X or less.)  This  tutorial, ans specifically section 4-23 give a lot more information.
