how long does a finace visa proccess takes? I have gave my lawyer all the required papers and so did my finace. it has been 6 months so far and all we got is the USCIS asking for additional info. I am getting sad, I have not seen my finace in 5 months and that is soo ugly.

how long shall I wait?

  1. You wait as long as it takes I am afraid.

    There are many factors in how long a visa application takes. If you received a Request For Evidence notice, then that's going to delay your case while they investigate the additional information.

    There's no sure fire way to tell how long a case will take to reach the National Benefits Center and for them to inform the US Embassy in your country that a visa number is available for you.

  3. Go to the uscis website and look for their link to display the dates.  Depending on when you filed, and what type of visa you file they show what visa applications are being processed now.  Some of those visas are backed up seriously, 3 or more years---so it is best to check...
