PLEASE i NEED HELP WITH MY ANKLE?

I was running down a hill ,and well on the turning point of the hill the turn was to sharp causing my ankle to slightly twist on the outside side of the ankle. it's a hill with sand so it slipped do to the turn. I was scared but i could still run and walk. I even went back uphill to practice my turns on the way down the hill. I went back home iced it and went out for a walk just to exercise it a bit. Today it hurts a little more and well i can still walk and rotate it but it feels like a little internal bruise&SORE IT['S STILL GOOD THOUGH.IM TAKING 2/3 DAYS OFF IS THAT GOOD? IM GOING TOP DO THE RICE METHOD

ANY OTHER IDEAS AND OPINION PLEASE RESPOND BACK PLEASE I DON'T THINK ITS SERIOUS THOUGH JUST A SLIGHT TWIST

  1. Its probably just a slight twist if you could go back up the hill and practice it.  I would ice for fifteen minutes on then fifteen minutes off for a while.  I think its mostly just mental but its good to be cautious.  if you can you should see an athletic trainer.  I know at my school we have an athletic trainer who is great with problems like yours.  You should also ask your coach what he thinks as a lot of coaches deal with these things all the time.  If its not bothering you gradually work back up to full time but if it gets worse then you should stop and see an orthopedist.  Good luck!
