Please i need some help!!! ipod nano 2nd...

Question

i bougt an ipod nano a 4GB about 1 year ago ..well i never got to use it for the whole year so i asked my friend to download some songs to my ipod so she did, welll.anyways i stopped using it because i didnt have a computer to charge my ipod on.....until recently i connected my ipod to my computer it worked perfectly just that one time .....the next time i connected my ipod nothing showed up it wasnt charging(the screen is just blank in black like when its turned off) or it was not showing on my itunes its almost like i didnt connect the usb cable to the ipod ....it doesnt respond when i connect it ... so i wanna konw what or whats wrong with my ipod???? please i need some help!!!!!
