  1. my instinct is to say 8 days given all other factors are unaffected.

  2. Multiply the number of workers by the number of days to find out how man worker-days are required to do the job.

    workers x days = worker-days

    Divide by 9 to find out how many days it will take 9 workers to do the job.

    worker-days / workers = days

  3. If you use an inverse proportion to solve this, the answer would be 4 1/2 days--but I'm not totally sure that's how to do it.

  4. 6/1/12 =9/1/x

    72=9x

    x=8

    8 days

    inversely proportional method
