  1. The ACs are 1.1 kW each

    Refrigerators, count as 500 watts

    Total is about 3.5 kw

so you have plenty of power.

    .

  2. 2-1.5 Hp airconditioners - current- 30 amperes

    3-1/8Hp refrigerators      - current- 3.9 amperes

    Total current                        = 33.9 amperes.

    KVA = ;120][33.9]/1000

             =4.06

The load KVA is only 4.06, therefore a 17.5 KVA generator set is more than enough to handle the load. Just start one air conditioner after another tohigh starting current overload.

  3. How large are the refrigerators?

They will have Kw or Kva ratings on their nameplates.

2 @1.5 Hp Ac Units with allowance for starting one at a time will use up about 5.5 KVA of capacity, (with a 'guesstimate` for fans,

    and a safety factor included).

If your refrigeration units, (fans and compressors), total less than

    12 KVA, you'll be fine.

Don't try to start them all at once. Get the generator up to speed

and then start your units one by one.

  4. 17.5 kva is too big. it can carry the load of a single barangay with small loads of course. here's the computation.

1 hp is 750va  means 0.750kva, refs could be 1/2hp

    2 units x 1.5hp + 3 units x 1/2hp

    4.5hp x 0.750kva/hp

3.375 kva - your total load compare it to your 17.5 source
