Please use your excellent eyes and judge this horse's conformation. I will have to post the links in my extra details, otherwise they won't show up. Thanks!

  1. Not bad overall.

Shoulder angle a little steep but not too bad; flat topline, posty hocked, long, weak pasterns (looks like verging on DSLD in the rear, maybe?); right hind turns out quite a bit, unless it's just the way he's standing; neck not too bad; throatlatch a tad thick, looks camped under in front, but again could be how he's standing; short croup; pretty well balanced though overall.  Those hind legs still scare me a bit though.  I'd be careful using this horse for anything strenuous, and you may want to have him checked for DSLD...posty hocks and dropping pasterns are usually an indicator of this, and horses who have it should be very lightly ridden, if ridden at all.

  2. hmm.... i still don't see the pics... :)

  3. his neck could tie into his shoulder a little higher, and his shoulder could have a little more slope, and not be quite so vertical, and he could use some conditioning. one exercise to get his neck a little more muscular is getting him to bend with a treat, or a carrot from side to side and to touch his chin to his chest. just do that everyday and get him to stretch a little farther, also working on head set will help. and exercise to help strenghten and make his butt and back legs conditioned and muscular is to back him up 2 sets of 130 feet a day everyday. his legs, (front and back) are a little bit camped under, and it is good that you are fixing his feet, that will help with everything, just take it easy, because as his feet return to normal condition, he will have to learn to reuse his legs, back and neck, to walk normaly. other than that little bit which is pretty much fixable, except for his shoulder slope. he looks pretty good, have fun and good luck

  4. the only thing i see is he's a tiny bit behind at the knee... but other than that he looks good! you'd need a picture from directly in front and directly in back to  really look at it though.

  5. He is cute.

I see a shoulder angle that's a little too upright. His neck is thick and ties in low, which gives the effect of it blending into his chest without clear definition.

His farrier work is poor. I can't see his feet too clearly in any other pictures, but in the second one (7-9 winter shot) his toes are very long with his heels cut short. This is adding considerable slope to his pasterns.

He seems undermuscled in his hind end. Hill work could help this if he's prone to undermuscling there.

I'm not fond of his hind end. His front end is a lot better. He looks kind of sickle hocked.

I'm being picky, he is really adorable. I love his face, he looks sweet.
