Question:

Please list everything vegetarians cannot eat.?

Specifically those tricky little ingredients. (I'm not vegan- I eat cookies, with eggs, milk, etc.)

However, I avoid cheese (rennet, lipase), a lot of candy (gelatin, shellac, etc.)

Please list everything else I shouldn't consume!

I'm really trying to not lie to myself about what to eat.

  1. Looks like you've got it down.  You should know that some yogurts have gelatin, so read labels.  And if you see confectioners glaze or food glaze, that's made from the secretions of insects.

    It's not in food, but lanolin is from the oils of sheeps' wool.  Wool can be a slaughterhouse byproduct, as sheep are typically sheared one last time before heading off to the slaughterhouse when their production declines.

    www.veganwolf.com will have a list of ingredients that are not suitable for vegans.  Many are also not suitable for vegetarians.

  4. Why not educate yourself before posting a question like this?

    First, meat is healthy, not unhealthy. What is unhealthy, and contributes to the obesity problem is the growth hormones that food producers add. The steroids, and antibiotics. These are fed to animals to make them grow faster, so they can get them to market sooner. That is why people are obese, and kids that are 12 and 13 look like they are 25.

    Not to mention the additives that are put into our food and drink sources by food producers to make us hungry, make us fat, and make us sick.

    You must first understand that the top 1%, the richest people in the world, own the food companies, the drug companies, and the oil companies.

    Everything they do is designed to get your money. Nothing else is important to them.

    Doctors do not care about curing anything. Drug companies are not concerned with curing anything. They are concerned with having you take a drug for the rest of your life.

    Food producers that make diet foods and drinks do not care about helping you lose weight. Diet foods have a higher percentage of addditives to make people hungry than normal foods. Why? To make you fat, because fat people eat more food. Diet sodas are the number one culprit.

    On the other hand, wild game that does not depend on man-made feed, and feeds naturally in the wild is the healthiest thing you can eat. Venison, rabbit, squirrel, armadillo, all very, very healthy. Why? It is all natural. Man is not involved in its production.

    You think that eating vegetables is healthy? Think again. If you are eating processed vegetables, you are not eating healthy. Preservatives and growth hormones have been used in their growth and processing.

    Unless you are eating from your own garden, and know that you are eating organically-grown vegetables, you are just adding to the problem of obesity, because processed vegetables are just as bad as processed chicken, pork, or beef. That's a fact.

    meat includes chicken, fish and eggs.

    BUT, there are many diffrent types of vegetarians.

    for example;

    Total Vegetarians eat only plant food. They do not eat any animal foods, including fish, eggs, dairy products, and honey.

    Vegans not only omit all animal products from their diets, but they also eliminate them from the rest of their life. Vegans use nothing from animals, such as leather, wool, and silk.

    Lacto-Vegetarians will include dairy products into their diet of plant food.

    Lacto-Ovo-Vegetarians eat both eggs and dairy products.

    Pesco-Vegetarians include fish into their diets.

    Pollo-Vegetarians eat poultry, such as chicken, turkey, and duck.

    i myself have a hard time with cookies and stuff;

    i have decided to simply not eat them.

    i know its hard, but you dont need it anyways, they make you fatt

    yogurt

    things with hard frosting (like pop tarts and frosted mini wheats)

    I discovered the American cheese in my fridge right now actually has gelatin.

    marshmallows

    gummy candies

    Lard or animal shortening--

    canned cake frosting

    snack cakes (twinkies, etc)

    refried beans

    Anchovies--

    Caesar dressing

    worcestershire sauce

    barbeque sauce

    And lots of things can be flavored with beef or chicken, like rice.  Bottom line is, you're going to have to read the ingredients on everything.

  8. They cannot eat fish, shellfish, lard, meat, poultry. They can however eat cheese, milk, eggs, etc. Also, if you are avoiding cheese, soycheese which they sell at Trader Joes is very delicious. Hope this helps.I have been a semi-vegitarian my whole life.

    Well, vegetarians don't eat anything with a face basically.

    No fish, meat, poultry etc.

    I don't eat store bought ramen anymore because it has stock and fat in it.

    Some vegetarians think it's ok to eat fish and poultry, but I personally think they're rather stupid.

    Fish and poultry are the same as meat, still something that lived and had a fully developed nervous system.
