Question:

Please look and tell me what you think would make it more readable?

I'm starting this new site:

http://www.corradocomputers.com

and I'll be putting articles and things on it. However, I need to somehow change the text sizing or style or formatting to make longer articles more bearable. For example:

http://www.corradocomputers.com/movetovista.html

is a long article on whether one should switch over to vista or not, but even I find that there's too much text crammed in.

I was thinking to separate it into separate pages and include some spacing inbetween the lines.

Anyone have suggestions on fonts, sizes, or how to shape/format the text for an easier read?

I've never worked with web design or any HTML or other stuff before, so this is my first site, which is why things might be a little off at times.

Thanks

  1. The text is too big and I think I would seriously get a headache after reading it or staring at it for very long.

Make the text smaller, change the titles to another color, and introduce photos in relevant places. The text can be half that size.

  2. If your website will be mainly text, I would suggest that you do not use a black background with white text. This is one of the reason why it is harder to read. Also you should use a serif type face like Times New Roman. It has been proven in the design community that serif type face is easier on the reader's eyes when they are asked to read long articles, similar to your second example.

  3. It looks fine to me, not even too long. I might like to see an image or two just to break things up.
