  1. I own a 650 burgman and it is great!  I have riden it from Colorado to Vermont.  It is simple to ride and has alot of storage space.  I bought this bike so I could make long rides and cruise around town.  The biggest benifit is that they come with windshields and storage space so you don,t have to pay extra for those like regular bikes.  Enjoy riding whatever you get.

  2. Kymco makes a Xciting 500cc that will run rings around a Burgman and cost less. They will soon be out with a fuel injected 700cc last I  heard in September. I would ride both of their Xciting scooters coast to coast with out a thought. Kymco is the largest and highest rated scooter company in the world secong only to   Piaggio and Vespa and Higher rated than the Japenese scooters and cost less as you do not pay for the name. All of their scooters come with 2 year warrany and they honor it. I have been fixing them for about 6 years and all I ever do is normal maintence like oil changes and the like. Also Piaggio is out with a BV500 that is a outstanding ride.  I have only heard of the auto Yamaha. THe 750 honda was made in the late 70's they were ok I have ridden one of those. And there is the  Ridley they are around 700cc and auto's just a bit pricey. And they are a crusier type with a  low seat.

  3. Aprilia makes a 750. (I think it's called a Mana)

  4. In the motorcycle camp you have a company that is building automatic motorcycles, and it's here in America. The company is named Ridley. I've included a link to them below.

Honda made an automatic motorcycle back in the 70's. The CB750A Hondamatic. Honda is also currently working on yet another automatic motorcycle called DN-01.

In the Scooter Camp, starting at your starting point of 500cc we have the Yamaha T-Max, which is to be released in '09 here in the states. Some say it's already here, but I have not seen any yet. The T-Max is a popular scooter in over in England and Europe.

Suzuki has the Burgman 650, and if you have extra money to play with and want all the bells and whistles the Burgman 650 Executive has them all.

Not to be left out Honda has the Silverwing just under 600cc.

  5. Big scooters are beginning to come on the scene.  The Suzuki Bergman, the Honda Silverwing, And Yamaha makes a couple of scooters but I'm not sure they are over 500cc.  Some are 400cc but still freeway-worthy touring bikes.  They all have auto transmissions.  I hear great things about them.

Honda once made an auto-transmission 750, the Hondamatic.  You might find one today but it would be more of a collectors item than a serious transportation device.

Have you ever heard of the Boss Hoss?  I don't know if they still even make them.  I have seen one or two.  It's a big Harley-like motorcycle with a V-8 engine in it from a car.  I don't consider it a serious transportation device, but it does have an automatic transmission.

And Yamaha makes a big touring bike with an automatic clutch.  You still select the gears but you don't have to clutch.  You might call that a semi-auto transmission.  The FJR-1300.  I have seen one but I've never ridden one, and I will admit I'm curious.  Might be the best of both worlds.

  6. what? ok one could literaly name hundreds of bikes over 500cc. the largest sport is the hayabusa 1300, the largest cruiser is the triumph rocket III 2300 cc.

these are both to my knowledge, and I think your question is bland and pointless.

  7. The Ridley is over 700 cc, but if you are asking this just to avoid learning how to shift, you are missing the big picture. The automatic transmission on a bike makes it weigh a couple of hundred pounds more than a similar bike that requires shifting. It is also exceptionally expensive for what you are getting.

Take a motorcycle safety course and learn to shift. It isn't that hard to do. I learned to do it when I was seven.

  8. I own a 2005 Suzuki Burgman 650cc scooter. This is the most amazing two-wheel vehicle I've had in 48 years of riding. The transmission is fully automatic, just like a car. And except for superbikes or "crotch-rockets" there is nothing out there that can match it off the line. It ride quiet, smooth and powerfull. Cruising at 80 MPH is easy and relaxing. It has very comfortable foot positions, a large trunk and three "glove-compartments." I have always been a motorcycle man and I'm hoping Suzuki, Honda or Yamaha will come out with a motorcycle that has this transmission. I've had to exchange my motorcycle for this scooter because of a leg issue, but I've given up nothing in fun and loaded up with tent, suitcase and sleeping bag I can keep up (actually they have to keep up with me) with any big Harley or Japanese motorcycle with engines 2-3 times the size of mine.

  9. Ridley makes a 750 V-twin with an auto-trans http://www.ridleyofdaytona.com/

  10. Honda are releasing the DN-10 a 680cc bike (the styling might take some getting used to).

Aprillia has the Mana, 850cc – conventional styling
