  1. You plug in the x and y into the equation. So

    [7(3)+3(3)]=

      21   + 9  = 30              For the ^2 part, just multiply 30 by 30......

    30x30= 900

  2. easy stuff. i'm pretty dumb at math, but all u gotta do is plug those numbers in. then ur always suppose to add or subtract the numbers in the parenthesis first.

  3. (7x + 3y)²

    x= 3, y=3

    Substitute 3 for x and 3 for y

    (7(3) + (3)(3))²

    (21 + 9)²

    (30)²

    (30)(30) = 900

    Another way to look at it is that when x=y

    (7x + 3y)² = (7x + 3x)² = (10x)² = 100x²

    If x=3, 100x² = 100(3)² = 100(9) = 900

  4. 1. substitute numbers for variables

    (7[3] + 3[3])^2

    multiply within parentheses

    7*3 =21 and 3*3=9

    (21+9)^2

    Add with parentheses

    30^2

    Do the exponent

    30*30= 900

  5. I know what u r asking...

    It is different than the other answers... U dont wanna plug in 3,3 and get a solution...

    But the way u have given is a little bit odd... Just try to give the question specificaly... coz this question does not have enough details !!!!

  6. I assume you just need to plug those values into the second expression and solve.

    (7(3) + 3(3))²

    = (21 + 9)²

    = 30²

    = 30 * 30

    = 900
