Please please help...i need some good ideas?

Question

i am nearly 14 and have always dream ed of being a vet. i go to a good private school and my parents say i have a good chance of getting on a veterinary course however to make universities choose me i could do with doing some volunteer work with animals. any ideas what i can do? my friend helps out at a nearby stables. if there is no other ideas i will do that but horses aren't my favourite creatures i prefer dogs and cats.

i live in bolton-(bl5 1ez) is there anything near which i could catch a bus too????????

Why not check with nearby vet offices, rescue shelters, boarding kennels & doggy day cares & see if any of them have work for volunteers?

are there any kennels or catteries near you. i'm sure they will be willing to take on a volunteer that cares. vets surgeries nearby might take on an enthusiastic volunteer to care for animals they have in their hospital. it maybe that all you get to do is clean out their cages, feed and water them, but its a start. good luck.

volounteer at animal shelter or local vets thery should say yes they need all the help they can get

You can always volunteer at an animal shelter. Or collect tennis balls/toys/or blankets for the animals at the shelter. I think what your doing is wonderful! I hope you get into vet school!

I would work at a Shelter near you, or even voulenteer at the Vets.
