if you have a TI-83 or calculator you can enter it in and it solves it for you.

click second then matrix

move the arrow over to EDIT and type in 2x2 then 2x3 for the other one under [A] and [B]

after you enter it in go to second matrix again and move the arrow over to math. go to option B rref(

after you enter that go back to second matrix select the first matrix then press enter and it solves if for you

btw this method skips all the intermediate steps that the guy above me answered. you get the same answer too.

First Row of R * Third Column of S, the result ends up in the first row, third column of the resultant matrix
