Take me back. Take me to that reverie which swayed so softly in my thoughts

Just the calm sense of serenity that in essence defined the fraction of my life

A loosely woven fabrication that belied the truth of what evolution brings

Take me back to the simplicity

The innocent wisdom of youth.

The naivety of a pure soul.

Please. Send me back to that oasis of nirvana.

That place where I didn't realize the arduous truth

Time is a paradoxal abomination.

It never falters yet it is an entity which no soul can ever truly possess.

Does it mean less?

It's a test.

A challenge of my dedication to this fallacy.

No thank you. Take me back to my reverie.

To whose honor am I bestowing my diminutiveness to?

The significance; when will the clarity surface?

No. Take me back to my reverie.

I want to shut my eyes and create my own destiny,

A world where love is not a mockery of human emotion

But the reward of a spiritual connection.

Take me to that reverie

that is the simplistic refuge of my dreams.

  1. Aren't you wanting complements rather than critiques? Don't wish for them, they are not food for the soul. They die and vanish quickly. No offense intended.  Now my only thoughts would be to change reverie to daydream, except it may not work on ending because you already have dreams on the last line. PS. I need your critiques more than you need mine. LOL.

  2. That poem is awesome, you might want to substitute some reveries for somthing else but that was great. It really pulled me in AWESOME JOB !

  3. no real critique here. it is good. but remember life always look looks bad at times of love lost but also remember there will always be another sunrise and the birds will sing again

  4. I really liked it good job! 9/10
