I have to have my room painted by september 1st because then I will be going back to college.

I have no idea whatsoever of how to paint it or colour schemes that will work together to create a mood I feel that Is suitable for me.

I am turning 18 in september and want something a little bit more grown up than the sickly pink room I have at the moment(even though I will admit that it's still my favourite colour!)

I use my room for studying mostly but also use it for relaxing and having friends over(it's also where me and my boyfriend most often 'do our thing')

I don't have a CLUE of how to paint it, please help meee!

  1. what about powder blue or aqua blue

  2. if it is for studying and for relaxing i would paint it a light color like yellow or beigh and then have like a whole bunch of acsent colors like red and gold so it is still fun to hang out in but you can relax and study in it also. And i would get  huge bed that is really comfy with a lot of pillows and a really soft warm comforter for well ya no to 'do your thing'

Or paint it light blue and then have brown acsent colors and again a big high off the ground comfy bed

  3. try alternating ping and brown on your walls either stripes or one wall pink one wall brown and so on

  4. why is this in the pregnancy and parenting section? dont make ur questions sound so urgent. dont waste our time like that if u dont need our help!

  5. i would say blue.

My cousin who is in college has her room a dark purple but not too dark and its very nice.

My room is purple and green but i am going to change it to pink and orange. I am planning on doing all the walls pink and then on the biggest wall i am doing a think white stripe then a wide orange stripe and then another thin white stripe and then a wide Pink stripe and then a thin white stripe and then another wide orange stripe and then one more white stripe. My bedspread will be Pink with a thick (not too thick) orange stripe in the middle and thin white stripes on the sides.

My Wall = white orange white pink white orange white

My Bed = pink white orange white pink

You could do this with any colors:

Pink and Brown / Blue and Green / Brown and Blue and so on.

  6. When I painted my room I painted 1 wall red the wall across from it is yellow and the other 2 green. all the colours i picked a really bright it gives my room some good vibes it makes me happy when i go in it so even if i'm studying and totally bummed it cheers me up : )

  7. how about a blue? i kind of like it because it makes me feel mellowed out and not too stressed when i have to study, and it's cool with both girls and guys (so you can do your thang hahah)

anyway i really like it but ultimately it's up to you :)

  8. a muddy brown and light blue.

it sounds gross but it goes together really well

  9. How about the popular look of soft blue with chocolate brown.

  10. I'd go with a nice neutral color like beige, light brown, or a dark brown (if the room is large.) A really nice idea is to paint the wall where the bed is one color, and every other wall another. (only 2 colors are involved here. Maybe a third for the ceiling if you wish.) I've seen the main wall as colors such as red, green, orange.... do something nice and bold, and then choose a beige, off-white, or light brown neural color for the rest of the walls. Throughout the room, add accesories that match the color of the bright wall.
