Please provide an example of when you have had to persuade a customer to buy a product or service which they may not have previously wanted or known about and what was the result?

  1. this "cold selling"

    if you are a warm personality it will help- but learn to forgive rejection 'cause you will still get many (most) who are not interested,  thinking its a "numbers game" will make you feel frustrated -

    if you show the slightest frustration you will lose every single sale. you must pass the "revolving door of your emotions" every single time you feel rejected by another customer

    stay mindlessly happy, be sincere in your belief in the product,

    when you get a customer to say yes, be casual, as if everyone says 'yes' don't show a display of relief that "finally someone accepted your biz - that will turn off your customer- make them wonder if they 'fell for it'

    hopefully your product is truly something decent and gives them more value in its usefullness than what they pay out in money.

    That is the only way. You will get a great reputation and possibly refferals, testimonials,

    If you rip them off, of course the reputation will make the job impossible.


  2. I like to share a incident which occur when i was working  for a hospitality company marketing leisure and dinning products .

    My role was to convince the customer by telemarketing

    and to sell the product. which the customer has to invest a membership amount  for availing the dinning discounts.

    I called him and used all my skills to convert him but he never showed any interest to buy the product. he told me that he was industrialist  and running a big factory with 1,000 people

    and this was the catching point for pitching my sales.

    we have to ask may questions to the customer related to our sales this will help and will give lead for the sale

    So every sale has its own techinique before selling a product

    first learn the product and know the competitors and conduct a comparison and find out what are the selling tools and the main benefits of the product.

    make the customer very friendly and never try to sell the product make him to buy the product by giving a good presentation  which will develop good friendship and make him as a referral agent  using the network skill.
