Please put these books in order of best to worst?

I need to argue for and against Evolution and for and against Creationism. It is coursework so it will have to be very long.

Please put these books in order of best to worst as to how much they would help me:

The God Delusion

Evolution and the Myths of Creationism

Tornado in a Junkyard: The Relentless Myth of Darwinism

The Selfish Gene

The Blind Watchmaker

The Origin of Species

Thanks!

PS. They aren't at my library and I don't want to buy ALL of them!

  1. The best as far as an overall view that would not be the bible itself:

    a double book:

    Signature of God/Handwriting of God

    Grant R. Jeffrey

It covers the fictitious "evolution" claims.

I found it at Barnes and Noble.

    (P.S.  I just missed your Q in R&S)

  2. The only way to find that out is by reading them!

  3. I've only read the Origin of Species, which is a good book, but very outdated for arguing for/against evolution/creationism.

However, www.talkorigins.org is a website dedicated to the evolution/creationism debate, and is an excellent source of material.  All points and counterpoints are well researched and documented, so any claim you find on the website will be backed by proper sources.

    Good luck!

  4. I would actually add some books to the list:

    Darwin's Ghost by Steve Jones

Scientists Confront Intelligent Design and Creationism, edited by Andrew Petto and Laurie Godfrey

Evolution vs. Creationism: An Introduction, by Eugenie Scott and Niles Eldredge.

The books by Richard Dawkins aren't bad, but they aren't the first books I'd look at.
