One has been chasing the other one and then runs in their pigloo. One of them makes high pitched squeals. He cant go in the pigloo. I put some timothy hay in their cage, but it didn't help. I have never heard their squeals before it sound it sound like a wwweeeEEEEEEEP EEEEEEeeeeEEEEP. Please help i just refilled their water bottles. Is this a normal behavior? Will they fight?

I don't have two cages to separate them. I don't have enough$. Their cage isn't huge. Hurry!!

  1. i doubt that they are fighting. they are social and shouldn't mind having to share with another pig. maybe they are playing. try taking the pigloo out and see what happens.

  2. kay.

so 2 male guinea pigs were a bad idea.

they will fight- ALOT.and could potentially kill one another.

but it is best to get them separate cages.

especially if they are sharing one that is small.

in the mean time get them sprayed or neutered-it well help them calm down and they will tend to not fight as much.

    :)

  3. Sure they are both boys? sounds like breeding time for a male and female??

  4. How big is the cage?  If it's tiny, (and most store-bought cages are too small for one piggy, much less two) it could be possible they are feeling cramped.  Is the a way you can put them outside of the cage in a safe room (like the bathroom) during most the day, and only have them in the cage at night?  If they are  feeling cramped, they COULD start fighting, and that could be a temporary fix until you get a bigger cage.

I put together a giant C&C cage, and it  cost under $50.  Just something to think about. :)

  5. Put in a cage seperator.

  6. Ditto fete. You need a C&C cage and at least 2-3 of everything in there for two males.

  7. There are different noises for guinea pigs but are they climbing on top of each other??

just curious and im just wondering if you could just seperate them, cause it is best to.

if you don't have a cage get a box.

a big box probably a toilet paper box..

cause it is best  to seperate them.

  8. Yea it's normal my piggies do it all the time and they've never fought!

  9. Hi i have heard not to put them together, but it depends on their personalities, If they were gonna fight... they would probably nip and kick or sumthing like that. U might be able to make a cage outta something incase you need it , or find something else available if you really need it?

Yeh i am pretty sure thats normal, i have 2 female guinea pigs...
