Please read.a poem composed by me.?

Question

Hi. I'm a 17 year old student and I'm pretty confused and can't seem to make a decision on my career. I've just written a poem about my confused state of mind. Please feel free to express your opinions on it.

As I look around me wondering what to do,

Maths sounds interesting, chemistry does too.

Being an astronaut may sound like fun,

But will i really find my calling among the stars and the sun??

As a lawyer I'll have a great personality,

But don'y want to compromise on any other quality.

Or should I do mass media and be a journalist,

Cut the gossip in stories and get down to the gist.

Why are life's most important decisions always so tough,

Oh! forget it. I've decided, enough is enough!

I'll make the tough calls when I have to do so,

Right now I'll just laugh it off, Haha Hoho!!

When I go to lines 7&8 I was like "Wow." Personally I think you could end it at lines 9&10 and it would still hold up. Lines 11&12 sound a bit excessive. Still good tho. From reading your poem only, I would say it's between either math and chemistry (same thing? You need math for chemistry.) and journalism. Or why not double major?

this is the most boring poem ever i fell asleep reading it well i didnt actually read cuase i couldnt be aresed but it looks boring n 2 long no 1 will want to read your sad little poem you are g*y   lots of love  secret agent

It's sounds great! I love the rhyme scheme. Even though the poem talks about how you aren't sure what to do with your life, the way I read it, it tells me that you're not giving up. I like it a lot!

btw, there's a typo stanza 3, line 2. You typed "don'y" instead of "don't"

I am having similar troubles and don't you hate it when people always ask you what you wanna do when you leave school

i get so annoyed with those people

i have a friend who makes up a random career everytime she is asked eg. scuba diver instructor and she lives like far from the ocean
