How long would someone stay in jail if they were being charged with domestic violence and being charged with failure to appear at community control (there was a warrant for his arrest) and he had that because of domestic violence so the 2nd domestic violence charges were dropped...

I live in brevard county (in florida) is there anywhere I can find out how long....? or could anyone tell me?

  1. I would strongly encourage you to call the District Attorney's office. They can let you know the status of the case, what charges are pending, and any court dates you might need to attend (if you are the victim or a witness).

You can also call the National Domestic Violence Helpline (1-800-799-SAFE)  for information about the programs closest to you. The link below is to the Women's Center, which serves Brevard County.

If you were assaulted, please know that you can never do anything that would justify someone hurting you. You deserve better. Your partner is the only one who can change his behavior. Please consider seeking help to be safe.

  2. It depends on the circumstances and also depends on Plea Bargaining. No one can give you a for sure answer because of the lack of knowledge we have on this case. Talk to a lawyer

  3. If you have judgements of previous failure to appears they may hold you till the next court date at worst. If your record is lite they will hold you for around four days and release you on a promise to appear

  4. consult a lawyer.

  5. dude call the station, and ask. simple.
