I am currently going through a police background investigation for job as cop in CA. My BI recently just sent revised medical form to take to my pschyical. Is it ok to call and check and see how everything is going with the procces and also confirm reciept of the new forms? I really want the job. Is calling bad? Does it show interest in the job?

Yes,call but dont call more than once because after 1 time it gets anoying and they wont hirwe you.

You need to call. Calling shows that you're interested in the position.

I think it's O.K. to call, just not to much. You shouldn't call everyday .And ,yes ! that shows interest in the job.

Waiting for a job that you really want is rough.  Now, hassling the employer or its designees is not a good idea.  But a simple call to make sure all is in order is okay.  BUT ONE CALL!!  Maybe then you may be able to ask if the paperwork has been forwarded for approval.  

In short: Too many calls = annoying and problematic

               1 professional call = POTENTIAL PROFESSIONAL
