Please read story and answer........?

Question

ok i have a dream and i know i can acopmplish it.its my passion in life.im only 16 and it is the best time to start,i dont want to wait till its to late.im not saying what it is .i KNOW I CAN DO IT.......BUT my parents have no faith in me and dont want me to do do it.there only come back when i ask "why not?" is "because we said so..."....can you please tell me a way to intimidate them like a hunger strike so they will know im serious about it......im not spoilt and it will be my own money....please give me an idea....please i beg you.......

well depending on what it is, cant you tell us to answer properly.

all i can say is, when i was younger, my mother wouldnt let me have singing lessons, such a shame cause I have a great voice and everybody tells me.

if you are sure you can do it, dont go on hunger strike, be an adult about it and state your reasons and draw out a plan for them to see.

dont forget, they love you and only have your best interests at heart.

if you want them on your side, you have to convince them with a good plan.

You're just trying to bully people into giving you suggestions. Not on, pet. If you want some serious and truly constructive advice about following your dream, you need to tell us what this dream is.

Stop being so bloody precious about it. Hunger strike to intimidate your parents? No wonder they don't think you'll be able for it ...

Well as a parent there is no way you can initimidate your parents. It is good that you have a dream, If you are that determined to start on your dream as soon as possible, then you have to CONVINCE your parents that you know what you are doing, intend to go down that path anyway as soon as you become legally independant of them, and ask them for their help!

I agree with the other answers, thinking a hunger strike is the answer shows that you are not mature enough to follow through with your idea. To fulfil your dream, you will come up against a lot of hurdles which you will not be able to overcome with the threat of stopping eating. So what would you do about them? If you cant convince your parents its a good idea, how will you convince others?

Go in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.

At least try anyway if it fails you'll have no regrets.

If you do something like a hunger strike, it will only show your parents that you are not rational or responsible enough to make your own decisions. Instead, show them your maturity level by acting responsible. You may have to delay your dreams until a future date.
