"You know what? I am actually not that much into voting. I think it’s kinda crazy that a woman is running, because I think that women deal with a lot of emotions and menopause and PMS and stuff. Like, I’m so moody all the time, I know I couldn’t be able to run a country, ‘cause I’d be crying one day and yelling at people the next day, ya know?"

- Brooke Hogan

Brooke Hogan is the daughter of Hulk Hogan, former WWF Wrestler.

  1. That she's right, and she probably couldn't run a country.

How does her opinion set me or any of us females back at all?

Every time someone says something like this, a woman somewhere is sucked into a time vortex and thrown into the Edwardian Era? LOL Sweet!

So she doesn't have confidence in a woman's ability to run a country. Know what? Neither do I. The more women I know, and the more I see how emotional we are as a whole, the more I think that a man would be better at being a president or prime minister simply because he isn't going to be as emotional as a woman would be. Oops! Did I just send someone through that vortex?? Bad preggo, bad.

  2. I don't know how what a reality star says sets women back 100 years.  It takes a lot more than that.  Nobody takes those people seriously, and if they do, that's what we should worry about.

  3. She is just a teenage girl being honest. Why are you being so vigilant about her opinion when you could be quoting Condaleeza Rice.? It doesn't set the feminist movement back at all as I do not think very many people will be fervently inspired to quit their jobs and stall all aspirations because of her words. Does Brooke Hogan hold that much sway in general? She may be a little ignorant, but It doesn't mean anything she says is in all earnest

  4. I think, sadly, she's internalized all of those stereotypes, as have a lot of women who responded to this. If you watch the show & see how Hulk treats his daughter as compared to his son, you'd see why.

  5. I think certain women should stop projecting their own inadequacies onto their entire gender.

  6. Well thats her opinion. Not everyone is of the same ability.

  7. She is correct in a lot of ways.  Womens hormones get into the way of a lot of things and important decisions.  It's just how women are.

    Get over it.

  8. Disagree with her statement if you want. Don't attack her personally. Stay focus of facts and not opinions. Personally, her point is only valid for younger women. The older a woman becomes, the less her hormones affect her mood and the more they affect her body temp.

  9. First of all, this is Brooke Hogan that were talking about and I don't know why she should be considered a mouth piece for women everywhere.  She does not speak for me, she does not speak for my co-workers, and she sure as heck does not speak for the rest of the nation.  Brooke Hogan, while surprisingly more mature than some members of her family, is still a young woman with much to learn about life.  She admits that she herself wouldn't be able to run a country due to the stress of it.  That's not to say that other women could not run the country and do a wonderful job of it.  I don't take what Brooke Hogan seriously and neither should anyone else.

  10. Brooke Hogan is an immature little brat who thinks it's appropriate to wear a "grill" on her teeth.

In no way, shape or form, does she alone set women back 100 years. She sets herself back and makes her legendary father look ridiculous. She's a spoiled little drama queen and doesn't represent most women in any way.

  11. First off, It's Brooke Hogan. What does she know about running a country.

Secondly, I do not think Senator Clinton has PMS, I mean she is in her sixties.

Third, There are several heads of state around the world that are female.

I am a man, but as my 14 year old daughter said when discussing Hillary, Barack and that other guy John Mcsame, she said, Well, I think enough men have already tried and we aren't very well of, maybe we should see what a woman can do. Now there's insight for you.

  12. Lot's of celebrities say stupid things. I doubt this one will set women back more than a few nano-seconds. Do you really think anyone gives a d**n what she thinks or says? You should be laughing like the rest of us! There is a picture of her in the dictionary under the definition "Blond".

  13. Women have a lot of hormones but if one actually is in the race for president don't you think she has been strong enough to deal with there emotions?

If she is in the race for president don't you think she has already overcame her emotions that get in the way?

  14. Men get all out of sorts too some times...Men have not done a great job of running the country....

Brooke Hogan would never have to worry no one would want her or her dad to be president.

  15. Just one quite sets women back 100 years?  She doesn't want to bother; nothing wrong with that, that's all she's saying is that she doesn't want to bother; nor do I; I find it rather boring and I could care less about politics..

  16. Yes, because Brooke Hogan clearly is the voice of the nation.

Some flash in the pan pop singer is not going to set anything back "a hundred years."

  17. I dont even have to see her or hear her speak to know she is stupid. Also, she IS the daughter of Hulk Hogan. But there does exist some scientific evidence stating that, the way male/female minds are wired, males are easier able to seperate logic and emotions within their mind. This makes it easier for males to think purely logically, and tune out emotions. So i guess there is some validity to her quote.

    She's still stupid.

  18. To any person with even an ounce of intelligence, she's saying more about herself then anything else.

As far as her voting... I'm glad she isn't "into" it... one less uneducated voter to mess up the polls.

let her go back to enjoying her 5 seconds of fame, and then becoming a drunk when nobody cares about her anymore... not even the 5th graders that thought she was cool.

  19. Brooke's comment does seem to throw all women under the bus. Too much peroxide I guess.

  20. She needs to realize that just because she's an idiot doesn't mean other women are. She doesn't sound to bright. She's the type of woman who enjoys feeling inferior to men.

  21. she sounds like a dumb bimbo.

i'm glad she's not into voting.

doesn't really effect women as a whole, though.

  22. That's OK. We wouldn't vote for Brooke Hogan, anyway. But she doesn't set women back any amount of years; she sets herself back about 100 IQ points.

Compare this quote to ones from actresses who are known for their brains, i.e. Ellen Page, Natalie Portman, Anna Paquin, etc. Their insights are far more valuable. They would never use PMS as a cop-out.

  23. at least she's being honest. pms.. is no joke for me.... my mother is going through menopause, and again no joke...

lol... i'm sorry it sounds stupid, but she is being real to a certain extent :/

  24. Not every woman is a man like clinton running for president, some women are actually proper women.

But my guess is its a form of rebellion against her feminist divorcing wife. Heck she will be known as the daughter of the woman who took hulk hogan to the cleaners, she needs to try hard to appear old fashioned and marriagable.

  25. I'm not calling you crazy. But to actually give second thought to something Brooke Hogan said is a waist of time. And besides that, a president can't just make a decision and go through with it. He has to have his decision voted on and then approved by parliament. Now read this quote and what do you make of it.

"....People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true.... they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool."

Don't let someone like Brooke Hogan fill your head with junk.

  26. What disturbs me more is the significant number of women that replied to this post who agree with her. This post is proof that misogyny is alive and well.

  27. my first thought was wondering if the dna he passed on to his child were damaged as in brain-damaged - as he is.  It could though also be nature as in, if he's a duffus, how could he not raise another duffus...

  28. Just because Brooke Hogan is a Schiztz doesn't mean all women are.  When I see women on this forum assume that because they are emotionally driven, that all women are, I think the same thing.

    Speak for yourself, Sister.

  29. That's what you get when you have a father who is so overprotective of you but allows your little brother to do whatever he wants, including getting into a car crash that nearly killed his friend.

  30. Brooke Hogan will no doubt marry someone filthy rich, and knows right now that she has nothing, in terms of making a living, to worry about.  Women like that often just like to hear themselves talk.

  31. There have always been women who have felt this way, and there probably always will be.  I think it is possible for a woman to succeed in politics, but I also think that women who have got what it takes are always going to be in the minority.
