I am a tall, white male, 23 years old and lightly built. One day I was with my girlfriend at a beautiful park when a mean 15-year old boy with his German shepherd dog came up to us. My girlfriend and I walked away from him about 40 ft and then I asked him from a distance whether there was anything I could do for him. He then said that he was going to sick the dog on my girlfriend, and told me to get out of the way. I then got an idea. I stepped aside as the boy set his dog loose on her. I had been training in Tae-kwon-do for three years. The dog lunged after my fleeing girlfriend. Just as it was fifteen feet ahead of me, I gave it a terrific spinning roundhouse kick to the temple. The dog gave a yelp and fell to the ground, badly injured. The boy was furious and humiliated and I laughed at his foiled plot. Then two police officers who happened to see my display came over and grabbed me by the arms and led me to the police car. The boy laughed at me and hollered gleefully, “Don’t drop the soap!†just before I was taken away.
The whole incident seemed pretty clear and straightforward, except for one thing. What did the boy actually mean when he said, “Don’t drop the soapâ€ Even though I don’t know what that statement even means, I don’t think it had anything to do with what just happened. Can anyone explain to me what he meant when he said that?
