Please recommend a Sandals Resort?

My fiancé and I are thinking of doing a sandals resort honeymoon. Are there any recommendations for which one to choose? We’re planning for travel dates of 7/14/2009-7/21/2009.

I know he would like to golf one day and I would love a massage and I would like to have the opportunity for some excursions, i.e. horseback riding, or tours or some sort. We want to have a fun atmosphere but a nice relaxing honeymoon too. Plus we’re trying not to break the bank. Help :)

  1. My Wife and I got married in Sandals St Lucia. The Island has 3 resorts. Pay for one and use all 3.

The resorts are fantastic, excellent food, brand named drinks and loads of free water sports.

The Grande and the Regency are large resorts. The Halcyon is a smaller resort. The Pier restaurant is fantastic as is Mario's.

Estelle at the grill bar remembers every ones name. The bad news is you have to pay over the top for all this.

Doing a couples resort in Jamaica this year.

  2. I have seen ( not actually stayed at) the Sandals in Antigua and St. Lucia. They are both beautiful islands and I would stay at either one. I'll pass on Jamaica. I don't feel safe on the island and I thought the Bahamas were nice but I  haven't seen the Sandals there.

  3. the one in Florida is good. my parents went there for their honeymoon. we arent rich, and they afforded it just fine. just like your fionce, my stepdad loves to golf, and he got to. im pretty sure just about every resort simalar to Sandles has a masage place. hope you have a good time!

  4. Check out Sandals in Negril Jamaica.  If you haven't done so already, go to tripadvisor.com to see what other wedding moon couples have to say about their experiences at this or any other resorts you might be interested in.  It should help you find just the right place for you.

My daughter was married there a few years ago and we had the best time.  The resort is lovely and all-inclusive.  Water sports, SCUBA, food, drink all you want, all the time.  The staff made sure everything was special for the big day.  It was all stress free and much less expensive than anything we could have done at home on our own.  They would do it again in a heartbeat.
