Porterhouse.  It's a little above the Theatre District by Columbus Circle right before the park.  It's a GREAT place to get a good dinner.

Bond 45 or Blue Fin I go to them all the time.  Bong 45 is Italian, Blue Fin is seafood.  Food and service are great, but they are expensive.  Plan on at least $50 per person without drinks

Blue Fin in the W Hotel has yummy seafood.

Tony DiNapoli's on 43rd Street has great family-style dining.

Da Rosina on 46th Street has a great prixe fix menu that lets you choose from anything on the menu.

depends on what type of food your in to.... There is a great steak place called Michaels and for higher end try The 21 Club... You can also look on menupages.com for some ideas.

I work at 42 and 8...  I like charley o's on eighth, or if you want a little more casual you could go to the west way diner on nineth.  don't forget that times square is right there also... they've got a planet hollywood, olive garden, tad's steaks, hard rock cafe, etc.

I have been hearing about this place called Vynl.  it a few blocks off broadway.  sounds very laid back.
