I don't want to spend more then $400 per night, hopefully around $350. I would like it to NOT be a family hotel. I would like it to have a nice bar and walking distance from Champs Elysee. Im 23 years old and its my first time in Paris :) Thanks!

  1. I stayed once near Gare St.Lazaar. The location is conveniently near to shopping center (Gallarie La fayatte and Printemps) and  on clear day...it's a nice walk to Champs Elysee. As said, Paris is a small city and it's easy to go around.

  2. The hotel Scribe is an outstanding older 'classic' hotel in the 4th Arrondissement, very near the center of things.  It's literally a block from the Opera - easy walking distance from both the local metro and the higher speed RER line, as well as the Louvre.  If you're flying into CDG airport, you can catch a direct bus into Paris that drops you literally a block from the hotel.  Yes, you can walk to the Champs Elysee from here, or you can take a quick metro to the Concorde station.

The hotel is now run by Sofitel; I think you can get a pre-paid rate in the range you're looking for.  A very nice breakfast is included.

I don't recall there being many families there - the rooms are smaller and so it gets too expensive (as a family, you need two rooms, generally).

  3. Hi you may want try this link for GREAT hotel deals which I did and save me quite a lump sum when I was travelling recently.

    Cheers

  4. Try the Best Western Etoile on Avenue de St Hnore de Faubourg ....we stayed there and the breakfast was great, the cafes onthe street were noce. Walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe or the metro for a short hop to Louvre.

A little bar but a few close by if you want to sip at a real bar/cafe.  Only $200 or so.

  5. I suggest the Hotel Left Bank Saint Germain Paris. It is brilliantly located in the 6th arrondissement in an area filled with cafes, bars, restaurants, and clubs and within a few minutes walk to Notre Dame, the Luxembourg Gardens, the Pantheon, and Cluny Museum. The Odeon Metro stop is right around the corner. The historic rue de Buci street market down the block. The oldest cafe/restaurant in Paris, the Procope is next door where everyone from Voltaire and Moliere to Danton, Marat and Ben Franklin hung out.

Its a very pretty little hotel, filled with character and Parisian charm: http://www.paris-paris.com/hotel_left-ba...

It is not close to the Champs Elysee but there is no reason why a 23 year old tourist would want to be close to the Champs which is, sad to say, these days, nothing but a huge neon jungle of a strip mall filled with tourists and hideously overpriced establishments.

  6. Hotel Elysees, 100 rue de la Boétie.
