Since I'll be on a road trip, I don't want to have to dress up to dine. Thanks for your help!

  1. East side marios

  2. CArpaccio was our best bet last summer.. It is on Lundy's Lane, but a little far off MAin Street if you are walking.  Food was excellent nad wine list was terrific.. still, my daughter was not out of place.  (although I spent a little more than if I had taken her to a pizza joint)  It was worth it.

Avoid at all costs:  Mick & Angelo's, which will boast that it has won every tourist award in the book.  I assume these are very touristy, beer-swelling people who voted for them.  (who are satisified with mediocre food and a room full of tourists)This place is also on Lundy's, but one look at hte outside will tell you to keep driving if you are looking for peace.

  3. A nice drive north of the falls is the small town of Niagara on the lake.  Down by the marina is a nice Italian place called the Anchorage.  Low key and comfortable.  The food and service was really good.

  4. Only one japanese restaurant in Niagara, Taki on Victoria Avenue.

Nicest Italian would be Casa Mia Italian on Portage Rd.

Have fun on your road trip.
