Also must be safe and fast in the rain, in case I need to drive through downpours for 2-4 hours to get home. NY and NJ drivers are notoriously rude and aggressive, and riding on the Thruway or Turnpike in the right lane at 45mph will surely get me rear-ended or run off the road. I've got to keep up with traffic despite weather hot or cold, dry or wet.

  1. Your stock tire was designed for your bike.

    Try the Pirelli Strada

    Metzeler Road tech Z6

    Michelin Pilot road.

    Bridgestone BT 021

These tires are designed to be used as a pair.

The front tire clears the water for the rear. So do not mix and match

Bridgestones are Junk?????????? Run a Avon??

Bridgestone is dominating Motgp. They are an excellent tire.

Dunlop has a touring tire as well but I would stick to the brands above.

Avon is a cheap tire with little feedback and technology. You see these on choppers and cruisers on peoples bikes that can't afford tires for their machine.

    Kenda is another worthles brand.

    Tomahawk is Junk.

Maxxis makes a decent tire. They are better at off road. But you only have two so buy the best

  2. Truth of the matter is that all name brand tires are of such a high quality there is really no need to worry about it. Just find on that makes you feel confident and ride according to the conditions using good common sense and keep safty in mind and you'll be fine no matter the tire manufactuer as long as it's not Towoo or some off brand.

  3. I've had dunlaps and wasn't happy with them at all ,then changed to an Avon Venom on the front and a Metzler M880 Marathon on the back I am getting ready to replace mine again and this time I am going with the Avon Venoms on the front and back here is the best site I have found for buying tires

    www.americanmototire.com

  4. Pirelli Diablo   that's the best, grips the road like glue

the WORST tires are the Dunlop and Bridgestone
