I'm thinking of going in early September with one of my mates for a single girls holiday haha. I'm just after some recommendations for places that are near to the bars and clubs (well within walking distance) but not right in the thick of it. Ta

  1. If you want to go through a tour operator then try the Fiesta Jungla, Fiesta Tropico or Fiesta Sahara. Those hotels are available through Thomson. The 'Magaluf Playa' takes direct bookings. Also these hotels are near to the madness but quiet enough to get some sleep! All the info you need will be easy to find on the net.

Found some helpful websites for you,

To look at the 'Fiestas' try,

    www.tripadvisor.co.uk

    www.magalufuncovered.co.uk

    www.thomson.co.uk

    For the 'Magaluf Playa' try,

    www.lastminute.com

  2. Mmmm... I see you're being reccomended the Fiesta Jungla... Hmmm... ok if you're into the club 18-30 scene, if you're not, then avoid it like the plague. This one was on holidays from h**l after the shananigans by the pool in the middle of the night were exposed. (Naked young boys 18-30's skinny dipping and screaming drunk at 4 in the morning) if thats not your idea of holiday heaven then go elsewhere because it still goes on!

I seriously think a hotel is better than apts, much better value. Majorca is not cheap to eat out these days- quite expensive so hotel is going to give you much better value and the standards are better!

  3. Hi Helen

It looks like yo ualready have some good suggestions ... the only thing I'd add is to look through a directory of alternatives on this website where you can sort the results by price , location and star rating, then check out the photos and descriptions:

There's over 50 alternatives in the area - just make sure you click on the "sort" buttons to reveal all the hotels and deals.

    Accommodation in Magluf, Majorca :http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Spain...

    Hope that helps

  4. It all depends what your after when looking at magaluf as it's a wild west centre that your better staying on the outskirts of and walking in via the quieter bars.

Palma Nova is a 5 min walk away as well, loads of bars on the walk into Magaluf and nicer to stay in I think.

I've left you a couple of links for hotel reviews in bith resorts so you can see what other people thought of them.

  5. yeah you got good answers there, i been a few times palma nove just up the road is great too.. have a great time kisses

  6. i have been to magaluf before and the hotel i stay in is really near to the clubs and only five minutes from the beach. its a nice hotel, with, couples, singles and families. great place called hotel sol magaluf park. its great I'm going back with the girls in July. if you go i hope you have a good time, but im sure you will

  7. i agree fiesta jungla was there last year nice hotel other partner hotels looked fine too

  8. I go to mallorca every summer and, the only thing I can recommend you, is don't go to magaluf! it's awful! chose any other place to stay if you can. It's a pity to go to that place, when the island is soo beautiful. Any other option is better. besos
