Any type of cuisine is wellcome; but I would prefer to try something local and not so expensive...The sort of place where you would go if your mother had no time to cook, not the sort of place you take someone to propose marriage to!!!!

  1. you have got to go to theJules Verne Restaurant  inside the Eiffeltower .It is about halfway up  and the view is fantastic!!

    tres bien!!!

  2. mc donalds obviously

  3. Some of my favorite restaurants/cafes in Paris are the ones we just stumbled across. Restaurants/Cafes all have their menus posted outside so you can decide if this is the place for you prior to going in.

There are a number of Hippopotamus restaurants in Paris...quite delish. If you're in a hurry and are in the area, go to the food court in the Louvre. So many places to choose from. Paul's is very good (they have to-die-for tartes!) and there is a wonderful crepe place there.

If you're in the Republique neighborhood, The Maya is heaven. Near Notre-Dame (facing the cathedral, it's down the street on the left) are a number of great cafes, including the Quasimodo cafe. Cafe Esmerelda is just across the street from Notre-Dame.

If it's fast food you want, try Quick.

Along Rue de Rivoli (across from the Louvre and Tuileries Garden), you'll find some great places to eat and some of the best souvenir shopping.

  4. Any decent guidebook - Frommers, Fodors, Lonely Planet, Rough Guide, etc - will have plenty of recommendations.  Take a look here: http://www.frommers.com/destinations/par...

    And try P't*t Troquet:

  5. My current favorite restaurant is La Methode at 2 rue Descartes in the 5th arrondissement. It is just a couple of blocks from the Pantheon.  It is moderately priced and the staff is very friendly. There is a large terrace and tables immediately inside around the bar area but the best place to eat is in the large room in the back.

    Even in that area but

    I hope I have helped

  7. Chez Paul is fairly near the center. It has good French food. It may be a little on the expensive side, but nothing like the really expensiuve French restaurants. A wonderful relaxed atmosphere. Be prepared to stay there a long time. For desert try the profiteroles.
