I understand that a Duvet cover is just a COVER... So do you buy the actual "DUVET" separately? I always see duvet covers for sale but what do you put in them? I never see that part. Where do you find the filling? THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWERS... PLEASE ONLY PEOPLE WHO KNOW THE ANSWER....

  1. Duvet Covers are used simply to keep your comforters clean and yes you buy Duvets separately, you put the comforter inside the Duvet , no filling is needed this is simply just a cover for the comforter Good Luck !

  2. Im from the UK, where you buy duvets (fluffy comforter) that goes inside a duvet cover....everywhere. Five years ago I moved to the US and most places sell, the pretty comforters, which are like a prefilled duvet with a non removable cover. Occasionally you would find a fabric duvet cover but no duvet to go insid. hmmm. Ikea does duvets and covers!

  3. We have a down comforter that is plain white and I use the duvet cover to make it the color I want.  You can use any comforter as long as you have the same size duvet. (full, queen, king).  It is an easy way to change the look of your room without having to buy a new comforter.  It works just like a large pillow case only you put a comforter inside.  I love mine it is so easy and you can take it off and wash it.

  4. ok tis real easy! its like a hat. it just goes over ur head. all uhave to do is open up the cover, and slip the bedspread inside it, then button or zip it (depends on how it cloeses) thats it

  5. a duvet is what i call a QUILT, go out and buy one, then you can buy a duvet cover to put on your DUVET aka QUILT.... get it?
