  1. if you delete this group, you wont be able to reuse that same groups name. it takes quite a while for them to recycle in order to reuse.

    I'd figure out whats going on the registering new members myself-

    but the delete is management- under group settings, bottom, you'll see the delete tab- follow steps

  2. It is easy.

    Go to your group's main page.

    From the left hand column choose "management"

    A box appears.

    On the right hand side of the box there is a section called "Delete Group" and a button for you to click on.

    In order to do this, (if I am not mistaken) you have to be the owner of the group, not the moderator.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Pick the other person as a best answer. I don't know the answer of course.....!!! Sorry

  4. If the Owner has given you unlimited Moderator privileges you can delete the group by going to the Management link on the left hand side of your groups home page. There you will see sections Group Activity, Group Settings and Delete Group, (all in bold with more options within each section, like this;

    "Group Settings

        * Description & Appearance

        * Membership

        * Web Tools

        * Messages

    The settings area enables you to edit your group description, posting options, feature access, and other important settings."

    Below this section is delete group, (if you have been given that privelidge by the Owner), it is simple from there. However I would be very careful about making this decision as you may not be able to recreate the group under the same name and will no longer have access to your membership list once you have deleted it. Even if you do have all of your members info stored somewhere, any members that are bouncing or not reading their list mail right now may  not receive any notification that you give them that the group is being remade and that they will need to resubscribe. If you do decide to delete and start fresh I suggest you make the name as similar to the old name as possible, (eg. books@yahoogroups becomes books2@yahoogroups) so that your members can find it more easily if they miss the initial notification.

    If the Delete group option is not there when you go to the Management link, than the Owner has not given you the privelidge to delete the group and he will have to do it him/herself.
