ive asked a few times already and have gotten incorrect answers, so please check your results. (simplifying this is a bit out of my league)

S = C/(1+r) + C/(1+r)^2 + ... + C+M/(1+r)^n

M = a figure (€1000)

C = a percentage of M (€60)

R = is a yield factor (0.062)

n = duration (years) (5)

if you use the values i provided, the answer should be S = €991.92, please check the results of your simplified formula.

  1. this is not a complete answer but may help you figure it out

    if S = A/(1+i)^1 + A/(1+i)^2 + ... + A/(1+i)^n

      S = A*[(1+i)^n - 1]/i

    This factor is known as F/A(i,n) if you want to reference it.

    This is found in most financial or accounting textbooks/resources.
