Please someone help me with my trigonometry homework!!?

I was doing my trig homework when I can across this problem that our teacher did not explain in class if someone could please tell me how to solve this it would be amazing!

Find a value of each variable:

tan(3x - 4°) = 1 / cot(5x - 8°) x= is the variable i have to find

  1. Actually, 1 / cot is the tan.  So replace 1/ cot with tan and you get

    tan (3x - 4) = tan (5x - 8)

    Since both are tan now, just solve the simpler equation 3x - 4 = 5x - 8.
