Well today I am 7 days late and I took yet another pregnancy test which came up negative. I stopped taking the pill 6 weeks ago. I have been experiencing pregnancy symptoms eg. tiredness, bloating, moodiness, morning sickness, nausea, cramps but know that some of these could be signs of me getting my period. I have been late before but never this late- what is going on? Is my body just adjusting to me being off the pill? And if I am pregnant why is the test coming up negative? What's going on?

  1. I was on the pill for 5yrs,i went off it on 8th may this yr i had my 1st period on 17th may, another one on 14th june, next one was due on 12th july but i never got that period bc i was pregnant unfortunately i lost it,i fell pregnant again this mth but again i lost it,it does sound like pregnancy symptoms to me if ur gettin negative results with HPT's maybe ur not producing enough HCG in ur urine to pick it up go see a doctor they will do a blood test they say thats more accurate good luck.

  2. If I were you I'd wait a few more weeks (I know easier said than done) and take another test.  Sometimes it takes a while for the pregnancy hormones to be high enough in our urine to be detected.  It could be something hormonal. Give it a few weeks then see your OBGYN.

  3. Go for a blood test, sometimes the urine ones are not sensitive enough to pick up the pregnancy hormones.

But on the other hand, your body could be adjusting to going off the pill.

Best advice, go have a blood test. If negative, wait another week or so and go see a doctor and let him check you out. If you are not pregnant he might give you something to bring your period on.

    Good luck!!!

  4. When my wife got pregnant her b*****s started hurting quite a bit almost immediately.  I'd say trust the preg. tests if you're not experiencing that too.

As a male, I clearly know what I'm talking about when it comes to pregnancy.  I'm all over that.

  5. If you have been having unprotected s*x you can begin to worry if you are not trying to conceive.

When I got off the pill I had my period for an entire month then the next month my period was way past it's due date.

Come to find out my body was just adjusting to not being on birth control.

Quite personally I think your body is just adjusting. Now if it takes any longer and doesn't come and you aren't pregnant you should go to your doctor and ask him whats up. This happened to my sister and prescribed her  pill to spark up her period again.

    Good luck!

  6. its just adjusting.

if you havent had s*x, dont worry.

if symptoms persist then visit a doctor pronto.

  7. You could be adjusting to going off the pill. Your body has

been used to something else telling it when to have a period.

Now it is your true cycle that will adjust and arrive as your

body sees fit to do so.

Try not to panick too much......let nature take it's course.

The true period gives all the symptoms you have described too.

wait and give it at least three weeks to  let your body adjust.

If your period has not arrived then. Thats when you need to

go further.  For now try and relax and let nature take it's course.
