1. Hi, well yes it is possible it's that your hcg level might not be strong enough to show up yet on a HPT (IF you were pg), however the gyno you saw is a complete idiot for saying that getting a regular period means you can get pregnant, having a regular period is not for certain to guarantee that you actually ovulate, I had PCOS diagnosed 13.5yrs ago and have had countless months where my periods were very regular, BUT I did not ovulate (it's called Anovulation). and is very common with PCOS. First thing I would do is change gyno's and find one that actually knows their job properly and get bloodtest done (usually cd21 progesterone check) to ensure you infact are ovulating on your own. and go from there. Do not rely on a regular period to guess that you are ovulating, find out for sure so at least doc can give you something (like Clomid) to try to get you to ovulate if you don't on your own. Good Luck

  2. Dear Ace, if you are expecting a good news then stopthinking of it becoz that thought itself can cause a tension in you and even if you have conceived that tension may harm you so have faith in god and pray to him to give you a good news, so stop thinking that you are late for 6-9 days, so wait and pray to god if god gives his one merciful look on us then no one earth can stopm us from fulfilling our dreams so have patience and hope for the best. good luck let god turn all your desires into reality.

  3. I too have PCOS. My period was coming like clock work every month up until this one. My period was supposed to come on Aug 17 and didn't show until today :-(. However, that doesn't meant the same for you! If you are ttc wait another week and test again if you haven't started. If it is still negative try calling your doctor and see whats up. Best of Luck!

  4. I agree with StarMum, you cannot rely on a regular period to tell you if you have been ovulating as you very well could be experiencing anovulatory cycles. However, as you don't seem to be having issues with your cycles you can probably self treat (like I did). I was told that I have a hormonal imbalance consistant with PCOS and I was not ovulating. I did my research and adjusted my lifestyle:

    I start to walk regularly

    I adopted an insulin-resistance diet

I started taking supplements with chromium and manganese etc, proven aid in lowering insulin levels. I took 'Sugar Balance' by blackmores - which contains all the minerals and vitamins proven to lower insulin.

Insulin resistance is the underlying cause of PCOS and the reason that sexual hormones are imbalanced causing anovulation in PCOS suffers. I adopted an insulin-resistance lifestyle, started ovulating and got pregnant very quickly. This worked for me as I was told I had a mild case of PCOS. This may not work with people really suffering from it and need further medical intervention. My cycles ranged from 45 - 54 days, and on the lifestyle changes they went back to 30 - 34 days, and ovulation started occuring
