please give me some places in iran which may be considered as tourist spots,some popular places there which are commonly known and visited. please help me.

1)PERSEPOLIS or TAKHTE JAMSHID,in English it means city of PARS.u can find Xerxes and Darius 1 the great pictures there.it was built about 2470 years ago

2)PASARGADA,it's the place where CYRUS THE GREAT was born and live for some years also u can find his grave there.it was built 2600 years ago

3)ALI SADR cave,very beautiful

4)DEMAVEND,the highest mountain in the middle east

5)HAFEZ and SA'DI two of greatest poem of world,their grave are in Shiraz,and also HAKIM  ABOLGHASEM FERDOSI ,the guy who save Farsi after Arabs invasion,his grave is in Mashhad.

6)Choqazanbil  ziggorat,it was built 1250 years ago,it's in khozestan

7)about 10 gardens in Shiraz  which is really nice and ancient

8)Karim khan arg in Shiraz

9)more than 10 fort ,like alamot,zahhak ,....

10)ancient cities like Elam (5200 years ago),Jiroft (5000 years ago)

11)most of Isfahan and Shiraz are ancient

The first thing that comes to mind is Persepolis. As you know Iran (Persia) is one of the oldest civilizations and has many sites to visit. the province that Persepolis is in Shiraz has many of these landmarks that you speak of such as the Nagsh - i - Rustam. the graves of their great poets Saadi and Ferdowsi (who spent 30 years writing a book) which persians consider the savior of their rich culture and language after the arabs invaded.
