I am looking for a place not too far from British Museum to have a few cocktails on Valentines day. Something stylish and original.

Easy! You need to head down to the Refuel Bar in the Soho Hotel - nicely hidden so won't be swamped - oozes sophistication, without being intimidating and should only take 10ish mins walk from the British Museum. They also do nice bar food (not cheap).
